Description | Greek mountain tea, also known as shepherd’s tea, is a naturally caffeine-free herbal tea, made from flowers, leaves and stems of the sideritis plant. Grown at high altitudes it is known since the antiquity as herbal treatment for a variety of ailments. "Sideritis" can be literally translated as "he who is made of or has iron" and the plant was known to ancient Greeks as capable of healing wounds caused by iron weapons during battles.
